How Rockstar got to a final date

Getting here took two official delays:

1. Originally on track for a 2025 window, per Take-Two's own guidance, though Rockstar never confirmed a specific calendar date.

On its Q1 fiscal 2027 earnings call, held Friday, August 7, 2026, Take-Two reaffirmed November 19, 2026 as the release date. Zelnick described pre-order demand as "unprecedented and astonishing," said it had "vastly" outpaced internal forecasts, and noted early demand skewed toward the $99.99 Ultimate Edition.
